"Vorsprung durch Technik - solution through Nextsense"

5 years ago the first Calipri system was put into use at Audi Györ. A time when the automotive industry had to face some challenges. Either the material mix of chrome and glass, plastic and paint, or the more and more futuristic design with narrow gaps that bring out the aesthetic form of the vehicle like fine pencil strokes.

For us it was the right time to visit our customer Audi Györ in Hungary at the vehicle plant and to have an interview with Tamas Olah (responsible for inline and offline measurement technology at Audi Györ).

It was an informative conversation in which the expert for inline measurement technology told us a lot about why Audi Györ decided to use a Calipri system at that time, the role of gap and flush measurement at Audi and the challenges it presents. Starting with the precision with the continuously narrowing gaps, e.g. in the Tornado line, through aerodynamics to modern vehicle design, e.g. the Audi TT and its complicated front end.

Of course we also wanted to know how gap and flush measurement has changed since our Calipri systems have been used, what is the résumé of the last 5 years, where Audi's journey within the automotive world is heading and what he expects from our new Calipri CB20 with the patented CaliBreeze™ technology. One thing is for sure: Tamas and his team also see Nextsense as the only measurement system provider where the software solution is accompanied by a hardware solution and are very enthusiastic about our Calipri CB20, which they see as a strong and interesting product.
