Take four researchers from Joanneum Research and an innovative technology for wheel profile and wear measurement, which was developed together with the Austrian Federal Railway Service (ÖBB), and you have the now globally operating company Nextsense.

Together with Clemens Gasser (founder and CEO Nextsense), Renate Grabler-Gußmagg (previously authorised representative) and Harald Hopfgartner (previously Director Sales & Marketing) now form the management team.

"Over the past few years our processes have been aligned with the planned growth, now it is time to make the organizational structure fit for the future as well. I am therefore all the more pleased to welcome the two long-term employees as colleagues in the management team," says Clemens Gasser.

The company Nextsense is known for its unique technology of optical measuring systems for profile measurement and surface inspection in the automotive, railway & steel industry. Back in 2018 it has been acquired by Hexagon AB, a leading global information technology provider, with the aim of maintaining and expanding the Nextsense brand worldwide and increasing internal and commercial development.

"As part of the management team, I am very excited to play an even greater role in shaping Nextsense's future. Currently, our Nextsense family has almost 100 employees and I’m very motivated to continue our healthy growth", says Renate Grabler-Gußmagg, who joined the company in fall 2012.

Harald Hopfgartner, who has been working for Nextsense since 2009 and is responsible for the worldwide distribution of the measuring instruments, also has a lot of plans: "I am, of course, very pleased and look forward to the business’ future with high expectations. My vision is to further strengthen the Nextsense brand with our innovative and unique solutions and to expand the pole position in our niche markets. I am convinced that with the new management team and our unique employees, we will successfully continue on our path".
