RECORD WHEEL PROFILES AND
CALCULATE EQUIVALENT CONICITY
The "Equivalent Conicity" CALIPRI C4X module calculates the equivalent conicity of your wheel-rail-system using real data or standard profiles. Directly after entering or measuring wheel and rail profiles, the device calculates the conicity value and shows it on the display. Additionally, contact graphs are available on the tablet PC for further analysis and data export.

By calculating the equivalent conicity, this module enables you to draw conclusions about the geometry and profiles of your railway vehicles and rails. You can use this to optimize the operating behavior of your fleet and reduce servicing costs! With the additional "Wheel Profile" and "Rails" modules, the CALIPRI modular measuring system combines profile measurements and conicity calculations in one device. This combination makes it possible to obtain non-contact and, therefore, highly accurate measured data and EC value calculations without external contractors. This means that in the future you can decide on-site whether or not a wheelset needs to be removed and replaced.
Calipri measurement devices are approved and used i.a. in Germany (DB), Austria (ÖBB), Switzerland (SBB), France (SNCF), China (Chengdu Railway Bureau) and the Czech Republic (SŽDC).
